He further said he will collect suggestions from the trade and industry organisations on the GST by 14 June.
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council will examine the concerns of trade and industry regarding the rates and the rollout of the new tax regime, said Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
If traders feel that there is any irregularity in the rate of tax under GST, they can send their recommendations to the government, said the minister adding “the government is open (to look at it) if the amendments are in the interest of country, trade and traders.”
He further said he will collect suggestions from the trade and industry organisations on the GST by 14 June and submit a report to the government.
Meghwal also said the government has received suggestions from several trade bodies for increasing the turnover limit under the composition scheme.
