31% CFOs feel GST hit manufacturing most: Report

“The country remains optimistic about economic prospects, as it remains buoyant post demonetisation and amongst global uncertainties,” it noted.

More than 31 per cent of the chief financial officers (CFOs) across India feel the roll-out of GST is most challenging for them, says a survey report conducted by Deloitee.

As per CFOs, who were surveyed across verticals, manufacturing is the most affected sector.

Over 54 per cent CFOs are of the opinion that the impact of demonetisation has been neutral, while 56 per cent are “highly optimistic” of the country's macro-economic growth in the next 4-5 years, the survey said.

“The country remains optimistic about economic prospects, as it remains buoyant post demonetisation and amongst global uncertainties,” it noted.

The report said the macro-economic trends point to a possible global growth revival, and therefore, the economy may see increase in exports and investment, which have been a concern for the past few quarters.
