The three-day India Economic Summit starting today in Delhi will witness the participation of Indian policymakers, business leaders and the who’s who of the film industry.
More than 650 leaders from 35 countries are expected to participate in the summit, organised by World Economic Forum (WEF) in partnership with CII.
The theme 'Creating Indian Narratives on Global Challenges' will help Indian government to create awareness about its reform programmes, WEF said in a statement.
Union ministers Arun Jaitley, Piyush Goyal, Smriti Irani, Suresh Prabhu, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Dharmendra Pradhan and Nitin Gadkari are scheduled to participate in the summit.
As per WEF’s chief operating officer Sarita Nayyar, the summit will address "many global challenges including issues where India has been active on the global stage including trade, climate change, economic growth and the fourth industrial revolution".
