Sehgal’s mandate includes leading the investor relations and group taxation functions, and monitoring investments across geographies.
Bharti Airtel has appointed Nakul Sehgal as Corporate Chief Financial Officer, media reports said.
Sehgal was working with the Telenor Group before joining Bharti Airtel. He worked at Telenor for eight years holding various senior level positions across geographies including India. In his last role he was the CFO at Digi.com Berhad (Malaysia).
Prior to joining Telenor Group, Sehgal was associated with Ernst & Young and PWC.
In his new role at Bharti Airtel, Sehgal will act as the key interface between the corporate office and operations and will lead the investor relations and group taxation functions, and monitor investments across geographies. He will work closely with both Airtel India and Airtel Africa. He will also be actively involved with Airtel Africa Initial Public Offering (IPO) and fund raising at Airtel India, the company said in a statement.
Sehgal will report to Bharti Airtel Chairman, Sunil Bharti Mittal.
