CFONEXT100 Programme 2025

The Annual CFONEXT100, one of CFO India’s flagship events, is a first-of-its kind endeavor to help India Inc. identify and felicitate rising stars in the field of finance. This programme helps to create a pool of financial talent that comprises India’s top 100 mid-level finance professionals who have demonstrated leadership potential and are poised to become CFOs in the foreseeable future. The future CFOs were chosen from over 300 nominations received, by a panel of up to 40 eminent jury members – influential CFOs of India Inc.

Nomination Categories for this year are:

Excellence in Innovation – Applied creative and innovative solution(s) to significant organisational challenges, whether internal or external.
Excellence in Finance Transformation – Shown great improvement in the way the finance function operates to meet future challenges. He or she has worked hard to realign all aspects of the operating model – process, organization, people and technology – to adapt to the ‘new normal’.

Excellence in Strategy Execution – Dealt with serious and intense changes in the business environment. He/She has shown great leadership in creating the right (financial) conditions to execute the new strategy. He/She along with the CFO would have contributed valuable insights, analyses, the (re)allocation of assets and the alignment of the finance function with the new strategy.
Excellence in Capital Management – Ensured management of cash sources and uses in the most optimal manner is a critical issue for most business (more so, in times of crisis). He/She should have demonstrated quick action to improve cash visibility across every layer of the enterprise and ensured their organisations have optimal cash management processes in place to ride the storm.
Excellence in Risk Management – In times of uncertainty, finance leaders will have to keep a sharp eye on risk management. Internal controls and fraud; supplier and customer failures; financial risk; cyber-attacks as well as a plethora of indirect risks that can impact businesses severely are high on a finance leader’s agenda. He/She should have implemented an effective risk management programme across the organisation – such that early warning signals are actioned and effective controls get activated to reduce or mitigate the risk arising from potential threat vectors.
Excellence in Governance and Compliance Management – Helped the business achieve its goals in a way that is open, honest, ethical and principled. Working in a globalised and complex business environment, he/she faces a complex assortment of new and sometimes challenging laws and regulations. He/She must have contributed significantly to build and implement systems designed to detect and prevent compliance breaches. Last but not the least, he/she should have demonstrated leadership in the development of a strong compliance culture and best practices that secure buy-in from executives, managers, employees, contractors and business partners all at levels.
Excellence in Digital Transformation – Technology offers us an almost unlimited range of opportunities to improve our business models, processes and overall value proposition. He/She has played a crucial role in crafting and executing a successful business-aligned IT strategy to provide businesses with value delivery. Based on a clear vision and plan, he/she has strongly supported and financially enabled the implementation of systems with a proven impact on the quality and efficiency of the organisation.
Excellence in Tax Management – The current crisis has complicated an already challenging tax environment for the finance function. When protecting liquidity is of utmost importance, the onus is on the finance function to employ tax strategies that can realise the full benefit of the tax measures rolled out. He/She should have deployed various tactics to take advantage of the tax exemptions, exclusions and exceptions to preserve cash/ enhance liquidity
Excellence in Building a High Performance Team – Outstanding financial talent management and teamwork is the requirement to win this Award. He/She has demonstrated capabilities to build a high performing team that is both efficient and customer focused. Based on a clear vision, he/she has invested in talent development to align future needs with the available skills set. He/She is an inspiring coach for co-workers and gives attention to personal and professional development of the team.
Excellence in Mergers & Acquisitions – He/She is the driving force behind the company’s successful growth and expansion into newer markets or geographies. Based on sound analysis and a strategic and financial plan, the company has established itself in new markets and has conquered market share. He/she has invested in knowledge and expertise to deal with specific cultural, legal and financial issues and has built an international finance team.

Application Guidelines

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The applicant cannot be self employed
The applicant will be qualified as a next-in-line CFO only if:
- He / she directly reports to the CFO / Head of Finance / Group CFO in his / her organisation
- He / she is the Head of Finance / CFO for a ‘Business Unit’ and reports to the organisation’s CFO
- He / she is a functional head, such as, Head of Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, Planning & Strategy, and Financial Controller.

Note: Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, family members of CFO Collective Pvt. Ltd., its subsidiaries, affiliates, program partners, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to participate in the CFONEXT100

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CFONEXT100 is an initiative, and the sole property, of CFO Collective Pvt. Ltd.
To participate in the CFONEXT100, the participant must complete the registration process on the program website (www.cfo-india.in) or on the link shared with them through mail.

No applicant is allowed to submit multiple entries.
No entry fee is required to participate in the CFONEXT100 process.
The program will run from the starting and ending dates as decided by CFONEXT100. CFONEXT100 reserves the right to modify, cancel, discontinue or terminate the CFONEXT100 program at any time, or to accept or reject any or all entries at its absolute discretion without giving any prior notice and without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
All shortlisted participants/candidates will be intimated individually at the email address and/or contact number provided by them. CFONEXT100 reserves the right to terminate the registration at any time or in the event the information, including your e-mail address, is no longer current or accurate.
Decisions made by CFO India regarding the CFONEXT100 program, eligibility conditions, administration and conduct of the program, rules & regulations, etc., will be final and binding on all participants. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
CFO India can verify applicant details directly, or through an authorized third-party agency or service at any stage of the program.
CFO India may use the applicant name and organisation information in ads, editorial material, website as when necessary
CFO India, in consultation with the jury, reserves the right to shortlist and filter applicants using any criteria it deems fit, without disclosing or making public the criteria or weighting schemes.
CFO India will not reveal, at any stage, the ranking or relative placement of applicants, or their scores in the CFONEXT100 selection process.
The data and information published at the program website site is for informational purposes only.

Nominees must provide valid documentation and proof supporting their personal information and work experience, as and when requested by CFONEXT100 team for verification.
CFONEXT100 reserves the right to downloading and printing of application information and related communications, or any portion thereof, for evaluation.
Nominees shall be solely responsible for all statements made, or acts or omissions to the nomination form.
